Fundraising Projects
D'Youville Foundation has funded a variety of annual fund projects that have directly benefited the seniors cared for on the D'Youville campus.
The latest, the D'Youville Park, opened in May 2009. It provides a beautiful, restful space for seniors to relax and enjoy nature. It also is the site for D’Youville’s BEE Fit Club exericse program and the Foundation’s Summer Concert Series. Click here for photos of the D’Youville Park and its programs.
This year the Foundation is raising money to build our endowment fund. As D’Youville celebrates 50 years of service to the Greater Lowell community, the Foundation wishes to honor D’Youville’s history by ensuring that seniors in need will receive quality care and services both now and in the future.
Other past Foundation projects include:
- Installation of an air conditioning system in our chapel.
- Construction of a balcony so our residents in the Alzheimer's Special Care program have the chance to enjoy the great outdoors at their leisure.
- Purchase of a 14-passenger bus giving our residents and clients the chance to take day trips back in the community.
- Conversion of our library into a new Learning Center so seniors can stay connected to friends, family, and the world at large.
- Purchase of electric beds to ensure our residents' comfort and independence.
