D'Youville's Independent Living Community
Bruyere Gardens, D’Youville’s independent living community for low-income seniors was established as an extension of our mission to meet the growing needs of seniors in the greater Lowell community. Presently there are 63 units of affordable housing on the D’Youville campus.

Apartment Amenities
Bruyere Gardens consists of one-bedroom units featuring:
- Approximately 560 square feet
- Kitchen with refrigerator, stove and microwave
- Living room with dining area
- Full bathroom with walk-in shower, grab bars and detachable shower head
- Ample closet space
- Emergency call system - 24 hours/day, 7 days/week
- Utilities include: heat, electricity, central air-conditioning and water
- Limited number of wheelchair-accessible units

- Common space with party kitchen for special events
- Community living room with access to an outdoor courtyard
- Coin-operated laundry services
- Arts and crafts room
- Library and computer area
- On-site chapel with weekly Catholic Mass (located at D'Youville Senior Care)
